Nebulizer

Nebulizer is a device which could atomize the liquid. In our daily life, this kind of equipment is more common than we think. According to different applications, there are many types of nebulizers, such as air humidifier which is helpful for humidification of the interior, hair spray equipment for hair styling, or medical nebulizer who belongs to medical equipment and is used to treat diseases like upper respiratory infection (URI). The use of nebulizer is easy, we could take BH care nebulizer as example. BH care nebulizer includes mouth piece, adult mask, child mask, air tube, air filter (5 pcs), bottle. Nebulizer is not harmful for the lung. Nebulization is not a medicine, but a way of medication. The medicine is not drunk directly by the patient, but a nebulizer is used to disperse the medicine into tiny droplets or particles, which are suspended in the gas. Through breathing, the medicine “mist” enters the respiratory tract and lungs to clean and moisturize the airway, so that the medicine acts in the body to achieve the purpose of treatment.

Therefore, if patients use medicine according to doctors’ prescription, nebulizer won’t hurt the lungs, with right medicine, nebulizer may be helpful for treatment of lung diseases like inflammation.

Nebulizer and inhaler are two different ways of medication. In some degree, nebulizer is better than inhaler.

The inhaler is a small handheld device made of plastic and metal, including a pressurized tin which contains a drug solution. When we press the inhaler, it will release drug solution in a fixed measured dose. Patients need to coordinate his inhalation and the release of the drug, they should deeply and slowly breathe 4 to 6 times by mouth and inhale the aerosol released from the inhaler. After this, the patient needs to hold his breath for 10 seconds to allow the aerosol to settle on the bronchial wall.
Inhalers are cheaper, faster, and can be carried anytime, anywhere. Because of their cost-effectiveness, they are used for respiratory diseases in routine treatment.
